Are you hungry for more Madoka Magica trinkets and merchandise but, do not have anything else to get? Well, I have good news for you as Bandai has announced a new series of Gashapon Soul Gem charms! Slated for release in later March 2017, these Soul Gem strap charms are Bandai's latest iteration of their Soul Gem charms hence, the "S" designation. Together with the addition of two new designs, these new Soul Gems also boast extra sparkly radiance thanks to new reflective holographic material within each gem. Individually, each and every one of these Soul Gems look great. Although, to be honest, I would be wary of the final product as everything except Nagisa's and Devil Homura's Soul Gem looks unnaturally bright. Each one will be sold at 300 Yen and because it is a Gashapon toy, luck will be the biggest determinant upon which Soul Gem you receive. Unless of course you are a seasoned Gashapon collector who knows their ways around the contraption.
A domestic release would definitely come first with urban areas in Japan likely to receive it first. As such, if you are planning to pay a visit to Japan, do not get your hopes up on it being there in March unless you are in the heart of the city.
