Figure Wishlist - Fine Clover 1/7 Tanya Degurechaff

Hello everyone and welcome back to Tiro Finale in a very special Nazi Empire-sanctioned edition of Figure Wishlist. First of all, I know what you must be thinking. Two chapters of Figure Wishlist in two weeks, what is up with the sudden influx of figures? Trust me, I too would prefer healthier spacing between the figures I so dearly desire. But as things would have it, a recent tweet on Youjo Senki and Fine Clover's twitter pages dropped one of the biggest bombs in Youjo Senki's ongoing war. 

After much too long a wait, Fine Clover has finally pulled the wraps off their 1/7 Tanya Degurechaff. One year ago, we were only given a teaser of the uncolored prototype during WonFes. Like many other fans of the series and character, initial apprehension over the initial prototype. While Tanya's proportions and detailing appeared to be spot on, the choice of pose, outfits and props did split opinions halfway. The only unconfirmed factor back then was the coloring and Fine Clover had a mighty task ahead of it in order to ensure the coloring for Tanya was done correctly. 

Fast forward one year, and fans can now breathe a collective sigh of relief as Fine Clover has not only done a good but, a might fine (Clover) job of the paintwork. Being a 1/7 scale premium figure in a fairly static pose, it was imperative that Fine Clover executed the paint job for Tanya without fault. Fortunately for us, Fine Clover seems to have taken that time to truly perfect the final product. The heavy use of shading especially apparent on Tanya's rifle and blonde locks contrast perfectly against Tanya's fair skin which really helps to emulate the atmosphere of Youjo Senki's universe. Fine Clover could have certainly played it safe and gone for a more neutral, illustrative type paint job that we often see with many premium scale figures. Instead, they decided to take the risk emphasizing the war-torn atmosphere of the entire look. I mean, just look at it!

And just like that, Fine Clover has added yet another figure onto my ever growing figure wishlist. Looks like my poor wallet is not going to get any respite anytime soon. Going by Fine Clover's tweet, the figure will be made available to pre-order in February. No word on pricing yet but, I do expect Tanya to fetch a pretty penny and be priced closer toward the 20,000 Yen mark. 

With the movie coming soon and this perfect figure to match it, the hype for Youjo Senki could not get any greater! Until the next time, thank you so much for reading and have yourself a wonderful day ahead!
