Tokyo Days 41 - Mistubishi A6M Zero

Located on the grounds of the Yasukuni Shrine, was Yushukan. A Japanese War Memorial Museum which is wholly maintained by the shrine. After all, the Yasukuni Shrine is devoted to the soldiers lost in war.

Admission is not free but, one of the exhibits on the ground floor for free was truly something spectacular.

An original Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter plane.

Perhaps the best plane ever made by Japan and one of the most historical planes in the world, the Zero was indeed a sight to behold.

Even after all these decades, the Zero is still and intimidating warplane to behold.

If you do not know what the Zero is, the internet is your best friend here.

Perhaps this number has a particular significance? I am not so sure.

That being said, I am extremely grateful to be able to see firsthand a Zero fighter plane. While I did not spend time to visit the museum, the thought of it certainly lingers in my mind. Perhaps in the near future I would pay it another visit. Until then, thanks so much for reading and have yourself a wonderful day ahead!
