Puella Magi Madoka Magica Nesoberi Announced!

Hello everyone an welcome to a quick Madoka Magica merchandise update here on Tiro Finale. First of, yes, you did not read the title wrong. After more than 7 years since its debut, Sega has finally decided to immortalize the characters of the Madoka Magica series into Nesoberi plush form. And in one of their largest, Mega Jumbo Nesoberi, sizes no less. Slated for a December 2017 release, these adorable plush toys will be an arcade prize. Thus far, only Madoka from the core series has been announced but, the potential for the other members of the Quartet joining is certainly present.

Alongside Madoka, Iroha too will be released in Mega Jumbo Nesoberi form to tie in with the recently launched Magia Record mobile game. Iroha even has her signature Puella Magi outfit complete with the caped hood. If history is anything to go by, this cape would be retractable. Iroha will be made available in arcades in December as well. 

For those wondering how to get your hands on these besides from the arcades, there are two main legitimate ways you can obtain them. The first is from physical hobby stores which purchase a whole set (of 40) from Sega for re-sales but, this is often limited to Japanese hobby stores. Your second and more reliable option, especially if you are an international customer, is to get them from online re-sellers such as Mandarake. Since these are arcade prices, I would not expect prices to go above 2,000 Yen for each.

While there is no guarantee that Sega would eventually release all the core girls as Nesoberi(s), I honestly doubt they would miss out on the opportunity to cash in on the fan-base. Moreover, the logo used for the Nesoberi Madoka is that of the Rebellion film and not the Magia Record one. This goes to show Sega has considered a future for merchandise expansion within the series.
