Nesoberi Chronicles 15 - Alpaca-san

Hello everyone and welcome back to Tiro Finale for the fifteenth chapter of the Nesoberi Chronicles. In our last chapter, I introduced Mami and Tanya to their new home and even teased a new addition to the plush family. Well that time has finally come for a formal introduction of said member so, say hello to Alpaca-san. The girls are used to all sorts of animals and pets over the past years but, this would be the first alpaca that they have ever come across. How will they react to its presence?

For starters, Mami seems to be taking the addition of a new member to the group fairly well. Perhaps this means that she would have another member for her tea parties especially since Tanya often wanders off as opposed to participating in the party itself. What about Tanya? Would she be as receptive as Mami-chan of the presence of this new stranger?

Well, not so much. As it was to be expected, Tanya was rather disgruntled at the sudden addition of a new member without her prior consultation. What more, this was an animal much larger than herself and with seemingly unknown origins. Not willing to take the chance, Tanya attempted to gobble up Alpaca-san in hopes that perhaps it would make her ascend to become a Hyper Jumbo Nesoberi.

Before the helpless alpaca would be devoured whole, Mami had to step in and keep Tanya in check. After all, Mami was not keen on losing her newfound friend quite so quickly. Tanya, on the other hand, had no interest in backing down or giving into Mami's demands as, according to her, there was no way of knowing that the alpaca was not a minion of Being X.

Just as Mami was about to let up, Tanya would immediately pounce again on top of the alpaca. Fortunately, Mami had equally quick reflexes and would always be there in time to stop Tanya before she could sink her jaws into the fluffy alpaca.

Eventually, after some negotiations and lengthy explanations, Tanya agreed to leave the alpaca alone with the warning that she would be keeping a close eye on the new stranger. Mami was certainly happy to know that she was able to keep Tanya at bay without having to resort to any violence. Now, Mami was almost certain that the three of them would be able to get along, in due time.

Or would they? For as soon as they had turn their backs, there was Tanya once more ready to pounce on the defenseless alpaca. Like an unrelenting hunter, Tanya refused to let go of her now marked prey.

Against her initial judgement, Mami then had no choice but to forcibly remove Tanya from the alpaca otherwise there would be a cotton sprawled mess all over their new home. 

Before pulling Tanya off to a little corner and having a stern word with her. 

Reluctantantly,Tanya then returned with Mami and had now made a promise to no longer harm or attempt to harm the alpaca. Apparently, Mami had managed to reason with Tanya explaining that the alpaca would have long fought back if it was indeed a servant of Being X especially since the alpaca was much large in size than her. As enraged as she was, Tanya was no one to argue against logic and agreed to stand down.

After a rather rough introduction, as it always is with Tanya and newcomers, the three have since gone on to live a rather peaceful life together. Tanya may claim that she still has a close watch on the alpaca for any suspicious movements but, she has clearly soften her stance since their initial introduction. In fact, she has already begun to use the alpaca as a large pillow for her to rest on. Perhaps things might just work out after all? Well only time will tell as the berries and, now, an alpaca begin their new adventure in this foreign land. Until the next time, thank you so much for reading and have yourself a wonderful day ahead!
