Emontoys Dark Souls Mini-Figures Preview

Hello everyone and welcome back to Tiro Finale! While going through my Wonder Festival photos for my recent Emontoys Kusanagi Motoko preview, I stumbled on another gem from the Emontoys booth that I had conveniently overlooked. No previously announced or previewed in any other event, Summer Wonder Festival 2019 was the first time the world got a glimpse of there 5 mini-figures from the Dark Souls series produced by Emontoys. These mini-figures are equal part intimidating and cool but, unfortunately not much has been heard about them since their preview at Wonder Festival. Nevertheless, I thought it would be cool to showcase these figures and just what they could have been had they actually been released. 

Going from left to right, we start with Siegmeyer of Catarina. Known by fans as the Onion Knight, Siegmeyer is called that for his rounded armor and onion shaped helm. He is also distinguished from other knights in Catarina with his Pierce Shield and Zweihander.

Next up, we have one of the most popular bosses and characters from the original Dark Souls, Dragonslayer Ornstein. Known for his tough boss battle and incredibly cool appearance, there are no shortage of fans of this iconic knight especially evident from the number of people who role-play his character in all three installments of the game. 

Another great knight and fan favorite, Artorias the Abysswalker is also featured. Seen here in his battle pose with his great-sword, Artorias is another example of Dark Souls' fantastic character design. Even in a mini form, he surely strikes such an imposing presence!

Kindling the bonfire, the next character can either be the player themselves donning the Elite Knight Armor or could be, in fact, the first knight that the player encounters in the game, Oscar, the Knight of Astora. While I reckon it is the former, this is certainly another great choice considering how popular this armor set is among Souls players. 

Speaking of bonfires, their presence would not be complete without the Fire Keeper which keeps the fires lit day and night. This particular character breaks the trend by being the only character from Dark Souls 3 as opposed to the others which first make an appearance in the original game. 

Saving the best for last, comes the knight who never stops praising the sun, Solaire of Astora. A true knight through and through, Astora is another fan-favorite who's popularity has transcended the series and made its way onto other media as well. 

With that, we wrap up these 5 prototype Dark Souls mini figures by Emontoys. I tried looking up more information about these products prior to this preview, yet nothing concrete came up. Hopefully this project would not be forgotten as I think these products would certainly go very well among fans of the series.
