One Huge Nendoroid Collection

Hello everyone and welcome back to Tiro Finale! Two days ago, we took a look at one of the largest hauls we have ever had on the blog and it was one consisting of 5 Nendoroid(s). But that was merely scratching the surface of what was to come, the bigger part of the collection. With a collection spanning over 200 Nendoroid(s), I was given the task to catalogue each and every one of them and, let me tell you, that was no easy task.

The original Love Live collection already has 18 Nendoroid(s) when you include both the school idol and training outfit version. That alone is enough to fill up an entire pigeon hole in the cupboard and as a fellow Love Live Nendoroid collector, I cannot stress enough how impressive this is. If Sunshine were taken into consideration, that would be another 9 Nendoroid(s) but, alas they are not part of this collection.

Moving on, we have a mix of Nendoroid(s) from Kancolle and Infinite Stratos with one odd from out from My Little Witch Academia. How better to flex your Nendoroid collection by having not one but, two copies of the coveted Nendoroid Yamato. While the hype surrounding the Kancolle series has slowed down in recent months, both Re-class and Yamato were once highly coveted Nendoroid partly owing to their large size and high price.

Then, we have even more Nendoroid(s) from the Kancolle series this time featuring some of the more obscure characters like Libeccio and I-401. If you are wondering if the boxes are arranged in any sequential order, they are not. In fact, they are likely arranged in according to box sizes to accommodate fitting into the pigeon hole.

In this particular pigeon hole, the two Nendoroid(s) worth pointing out are, unsurprisingly, from the Kancolle series. Nendoroid No. 542, Northern Princess, was and still is a very popular Nendoroid which fetches high prices on the re-seller's market. While No. 634 Musashi has now become a rare piece owing to her limited release. Musashi can occasionally be purchased from expos where Good Smile Company is attending and that just makes this particular Nendoroid all the more appealing.

Over on this corner, we have a good mix of Nendoroid(s) from a variety of series. It is not uncommon to find only one or two characters from a series released as Nendoroid(s). As such, mixed collections from different series such as these are a very common sight for Nendoroid collectors.

Can you spot the rare Nendoroid in this picture? In fact, there are several of them. Starting with No. 385 which is Aegis from Persona 3, a Nendoroid which has only gone up in price since its release way back when attributing to the increase of interest and popularity of the Persona series. No. 614 Mirana is also one of GSC's first foray of expanding the Nendoroid series outside of the Japanese anime series by adopting a character from the popular MOBA Dota 2. It is worth noting that League of Legends did have a Nendoroid several years back of its champions too. Last but not least, there is the Saber/Altria, a summer WonFes release and one of the definitive versions of Saber to own in Nendoroid form.

The Nendoroid(s) in this pigeon hole while featuring very popular characters, are not actually that expensive in the re-sale market. The most expensive one would porbably have been Umaru but, her prices has since dropped sighting a re-release. Fans of Is the Order a Rabbit? (GochiUsa) might have noticed Nendoroid Chino and would be happy to know that Good Smile has plans of making the rest of the characters in the series into Nendoroid(s) too.

Yet another Nendoroid Saber appears, this time in the form of the special 10th Anniversary version that is essentially the original Nendoroid Saber with a metallic coating. A limited edition release, your best bet is to find one from Good Smile Company as part of their event limited items during anime expos. One thing I forgot to document where the entire section dedicated to Hatsune Miku Nendoroid(s). A fact I only realized after I had spotted the Miku Harvest Moon version.

Sitting atop the cabinet are a whole host of recently acquired Nendoroid(s), some of which are incredibly expensive in today's market such as both the Nendoroid Nero in Saber Bride and Saber Extra form. But the one that catches my eye the most certainly has to be Nendoroid No. 703, Gudako. This is one Nendoroid that I have been eyeing for almost a year now with no luck in the re-seller's market whatsoever. With prices double or even triple Gudako's release price, my best bet is to hope for a re-release of this great Master.

Moving into another cupboard, we come across even more Kancolle Nendoroid(s). In fact, these six features here have yet to be opened and there is even one still wrapped in its original white wrapper. The mystery Nendoroid is Young Nagato which was sold as an event exclusive by Good Smile Company at anime expos.

More unopened Nendoroid(s) towards the right with the exception of the ones from the Monogatari series. Besides Gudako, the other Nendoroid I have been keeping an eye out for is No. 404 Hanekawa. Some of you may know that I am quite fond of Hanekawa as a character and her Nendoroid has been on wishlist for quite some time. She can be found on Mandarake for prices very close to retail but, I still hold off on pulling the trigger hoping that GSC would one day release an update version of her with her new haircut.

Lastly, we have a group of Nendoroid(s) which made up the start of the collection. This is where it all started before it spiraled out of control into the huge collection that you see before you. As a fellow Nendoroid collector, the dangers of figure collecting is something that is all too relatable to me and witnessing the massive collection of other's never ceases to amaze me. The lengths we go to for our hobbies can sometimes be rather irrational and it is only when we view the work's of others through our own eyes do we realize the scope of investment we have all made to be a part of this hobby.

But, would we have it any other way? While I would not change a single thing about my collection, how about you? Let me know what you think in the comments section below. Until the next time, thank you so much for reading and have yourself a wonderful day ahead!
